At the beginning of this past summer I started the process to become an open water certified scuba diver.

If you don’t already know, the open water diver certification is the first major certification you can obtain in the world of diving. To do this I completed an online course, took a scuba class in a pool, drove to Texas to complete 3 open water dives, and then finished the final dive here in Uruguay.

Going from Colorado, to Texas, to Uruguay was certainly a bit excessive to get this certification. And, technically I don’t have the certification yet, but I should have it fairly soon.

The entire process has been interesting to say the least…
