Ranch work
It was a good week. I learned a few things and got a good amount of stuff done.
We have a few large composts boxes next to our chicken coup. It would be an understatement to say that the compost had gotten out of hand.
It got to the point where the compost boxes were just another area to dump food scraps, grass clippings, dirt, and twigs.
It wasn’t organized to break down the biomass and produce usable soil.
After reading a little bit about composting in Ben Falk’s book, The Resilient Farm and Homestead, I figured I’d go ahead and reorganize the compost.
